    Nach dem Brand im April 2019, der die berühmte Kathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris beinahe zerstört hätte, machte sich ein Team aus Ingenieuren, Maurern und Schreinern an die gewaltige Aufgabe, dieses weltbekannte Wahrzeichen Frankreichs zu restaurieren. Der erste Teil der Doku zeichnet die menschlichen und technischen Herausforderungen der ersten drei Jahre des Projekts nach. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Zimmerleute, die das Holz für das neue Dach und die Turmspitze bearbeiten, Steinmetze, die klaffende Löcher im Gewölbe reparieren, und Handwerker, die mit traditionellen Techniken die Glasfenster restaurieren.
